Load Your Setups

Getting Started #

With your Code Format applied, the next step is to load your setup tables into Vista. These tables define your company’s foundational data, such as departments, cost codes, equipment, vendors, and employees.

In Vista, only 36 setup tables have built-in import templates, meaning much of the data entry must be done manually. TAD eliminates this bottleneck by providing Implementation Setup templates for all setup tables, allowing for a streamlined, automated import process.

Steps to Load Your Setups #

  1. Review the Setup Table List
    • Identify which tables are required based on your business needs.
    • Prioritize essential tables first (e.g., GL Accounts, Jobs, Phases).
  2. Populate the TAD Implementation Setup Templates
    • Required and commonly used columns are positioned at the front for easier entry.
    • Data validation ensures that formats match Vista’s requirements.
  3. Validate and Load Setup Data
    • Use TAD’s validation tools to check for missing or invalid values.
    • Import the data using TAD Converter or TAD Import.
  4. Review Imported Records in Vista
    • Verify that records were successfully imported.
    • Run test transactions to confirm setup accuracy.

By automating setup table imports, TAD eliminates manual data entry errors and ensures a faster, smoother implementation.
